Fruit Infused Ice Cubes for Girls Who Are Bored with Their Water ...

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that you should be drinking more water and fewer sodas, cocktails and energy drinks. But that doesn’t mean that you suddenly love water and crave a glass of it at happy hour, right? I’m all for everything in moderation, but when it’s time to sip water, you can make it less tortuous by freezing fruit into your ice cubes. They make a glass of water more fun to drink and as the cubes melt, they infuse the water with yummy flavors that make it a little less bland. Try these and you’ll see what I mean.

Orange Segments

Citrus is one of your best choices for water because it has a great flavor that is refreshing and thirst quenching at the same time. Peel an orange and add the segments to your ice cube tray. You can also cut a whole orange into slivers. The peel is pretty flavorful so don’t be afraid to use it. Lemons, limes and grapefruits are other wonderful citrus choices.

Any Kind of Berry

Berries are fruity and wonderful and they add so much to water. You won’t want to miss how great they taste as an ice cube melts in your water bottle. Try strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries. You could also go really crazy and try a couple of different kinds of berries in your water.

UPD:

Berries are an excellent source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. Studies have shown that eating berries can help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, and other chronic diseases. Additionally, they are low in calories and can help promote weight loss. Berries are also a great way to add flavor and sweetness to your water without adding any calories or sugar. Furthermore, freezing berries into ice cubes can help keep your water cold and refreshing for longer.

Kiwi Fruit

You’ll need to peel a kiwi before you add it your ice cube trays or you’ll just have the fuzz floating around in your glass. Once you’ve removed the peel, slice the kiwi into small chunks and toss it into the ice cube tray. Kiwi cubes make an ordinary pitcher of water worthy of a party on the patio.

Grapes of Any Color

Frozen grapes are perfect for chilling water on their own, but add them to ice cubes to make them last a little longer. Use green or red grapes and toss them into a water bottle before you head to the gym. If you can find champagne grapes, give them a try. They have a really sweet flavor and they’re super tiny so you can add more than one to each ice cube.

5

Diced Mango

Looking for something tropical and beachy feeling? Try diced mango in your ice cubes. Mangoes have a really sweet, slightly tart flavor that is sure to take your water to an entirely new level. Peel the mango so you can get the full flavor effect of the fruit. The fun color of mangoes is great for making your water look like fun.

Pineapple Chunks

Here’s another tropical treat that you should be putting in your ice cubes. Go for fresh pineapple over canned because it holds it shape better. Plus, fresh pineapple has a much sweeter and more intense flavor than the kind that comes out of a can.

UPD:

Pineapple chunks are a great way to add some sweetness and a tropical flavor to your ice cubes. Unlike canned pineapple, fresh pineapple is sweeter and has a more intense flavor. Plus, the fresh pineapple holds its shape better when added to ice cubes. Not only is pineapple a delicious treat, but it also has some great health benefits. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, and magnesium. It is also a good source of dietary fiber and is low in calories. Pineapple also contains an enzyme called bromelain, which has anti-inflammatory properties and can help to reduce swelling and pain. Adding pineapple chunks to your ice cubes is an easy and delicious way to get the health benefits of pineapple while also adding a unique flavor to your drinks.

Cherries

Don’t you just love cherries? They work wonderfully in ice cubes. Cut the cherries in half and remove the pits so you can get as much of the juice from them as the ice melts as is possible. Cherry water is going to blow your mind. You’ll never want to drink anything else ever again.

Which fruit do you want to put in your ice cubes? Don’t stop at putting the cubes in water though. Toss them into iced tea, lemonade, juice or a pitcher of sangria. What other drinks call for fruity ice cubes?
